Dandelion Spirit's Choice is the first comic within the Hill Clans universe. Dandelion Spirit is featured on the cover. It features Dandelion Spirit as the protagonist.

Detailed plot description
Newleaf has finally taken a pawhold within the territories. Three LeafClan apprentices: Fire Foot, Big Stripe, and Creeper Leaf excitedly run out of the Clan's camp entrance. Their sister, Dandelion Spirit, is visibly less excited. Icicle Spots takes notice and tries to reassure Dandelion Spirit. She herself is even convinced that maybe some training with her siblings will help her get her mind off of things, but it is quickly proven opposite as she starts letting her mind wander during training with Fire Foot.
Icicle Spots lets Dandelion Spirit return to camp, but she still cannot get comfortable or get her mind off of her racing thoughts. She decides to head to the medicine cat den to speak to a medicine cat. Beetle Belly, the last kitten of the siblings, is in the medicine den with a bad cough. She promises to bring him something to eat later, and Soap Stone directs her to speak with Vetch Splash. Dandelion Spirit expresses remorse for feeling like she doesn't want to be a warrior. Beetle Belly pipes up, sending himself into a coughing fit. Not wanting to risk Dandelion Spirit getting sick, or Beetle Belly being worked up any more than he already had gotten, Soap Stone sends Dandelion Spirit out of the den. On her way out, Soap Stone also comments that LeafClan has too many medicine cats to justify bringing a new one into their ranks. Dandelion Spirit is incredibly disheartened, but her thoughts are interrupted by Duskstar announcing the cats who'd be attending the Gathering.
As the sun sets and fades into night, dark clouds roll in, though they do not cover the moon. Dandelion Spirit is hanging out with Big Stripe, who offers to show her some of the moves she missed out on from training. Dandelion Spirit awkwardly refuses and scoots away before being called over by Creeper Leaf, at which point she turns and runs, leaving Big Stripe confused. Creeper Leaf shows Dandelion Spirit the cardinal that they'd wanted to save for Beetle Belly. They bring it to the medicine cat den, but are stopped by Vetch Splash sitting outside of the entrance. Dandelion Spirit explains that she wants to apologize to Soap Stone and Beetle Belly, as well as bring the prey she wanted to earlier. Vetch Splash tells her and Creeper Leaf that Beetle Belly is currently asleep after having taken boneset and poppy seeds to ease his pain.
